PMS (Portfolio Management System):
A Portfolio Management System is used to track and manage investment portfolios, including stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments.
Being short one line in a PMS means that there is a missing entry or transaction that should have been recorded. This can lead to inaccuracies in portfolio valuation, asset allocation, or performance tracking.
AIF (Alternative Investment Fund):
An AIF is a pooled investment vehicle that invests in assets like private equity, hedge funds, or real estate, which are not typically part of traditional investment portfolios.
A shortfall in one line in the AIF could mean that a transaction, expense, or income related to the fund's investments has not been properly recorded. This can affect the fund's net asset value (NAV), investor reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
